Sleaze
whoa.. It was real fun last nite having the purple hippo all to ourselves. We went to check out the new lantern tour - goes to geylang, lil india and orchard.
we went to eat tauhuay and you tiao at the district of red light notoriety . It was so yummy. I never knew there were so many stalls open at night in just one place. We also saw fruit street and durians were on sale for 20 cents! Well, of coz, they were small.
Serene was terribly ludicrous! She just stuck out her hand out of the topless bus and put on a smile because she wanted to wave Hi to everyone on the streets and of coz some passers- by were gawking at our monstrous vehicle. After the entire tour, we went to Lao Pa Sat for dinner - sting ray, small clams , satay, grilled squid, cockles, fried dough with fish paste in it, durians (ta paoed from geylang)and ice kacang to put out the fire from the food. It was a good spread of food.Made friends with an old tainer called Katherine and we were just sharing personal encounters on our tours. Leonard saw a turtle surface in the Marina Bay when he was on the DUCK and I was waxing lyrical about the time the tourists and I caught the F-12 fighters rehearsing for the airplane display for the national day parade and the helicopters towing the state flag. It was a brilliant sight on the Hippo.

Wh went away to perth...
At least we went to perhentian together.
was an arduous journey just to trawl the island for its fish
12 hours drive from spore then another 40 min speed boat ride to our resort. The highlight - we don't have to carry tanks to the boat~ SPOILT brats we are!!!
was really dramatic initially when the rest of the divers were stranded coz the coach left without them on it and then they went on cabs to chase it all over and when they finally found the bus, they wished they didn't find it. Haha. It was economy class and hardly had enough space. Wasn't our fault that they had to take the economy class coz there werent any business class coaches going to perhentian.
It's pretty inaccessible.
So along we went, on my daddy car and barely got any sleep coz it was so uncomfy.
But, when we finally got there, the water was so tranquil; it had different shades of green and blue.
We managed to see sharks again while snorkling at SHARK POINT but the divers didn't!
It was really awesome. we went for night dive - it was wh's first night dive and I knew he was pretty apprehensive about it coz he promised his parents that he'll return alive. But it was really enjoyable... We saw helmet shells, red hermit crab, mommy and baby blue spotted rays, porcupine/puffer fish. And on our way back to shore, we witnessed fireworks displays from a nearby island. How Lucky! And the endless skies were filled with twinkling stars...
During the day dives, we saw this cute big turtle scouring for food between the rocks and boulders. We surrounded it and deprived it of its privacy and space and den wh started to touch it...when the turtle din seem to mind, everyone started to touch its shell and its neck... everywhere... Molest. when steve beckoned us to move on, wh gave the turtle a final pet on the neck! hah.
We also went to a lagoon and saw a giant Jenkins ray which was bigger than me. It looked a little dead coz it din move and its body was buried amidst the sand.
On the final night, the divers had supper and got drunk and started talking about ghosts n they were spouting lotsa trash too.
Didn't get to see the wrasse and the giant potato cods despite my parents raving and ranting about spotting them.
lion fish saw wh and didn't see me.
Saw lotsa pretty corals though...
Perhentian was 100 percent better than tioman.

WhoaA
Sealed fate...
SMU acc no turning back.
I hope I don't regret it...
Just a brief recap on my life lately :
Church camp
Went for SMU acc tea session and reunited with some of my old old frens way back from primary school.
Went to watch Madagascar. Pretty short a movie but well the comic factor was more slapstick than anything else.
Went for class gathering at Fish and Co. Despite being all too familiar with the restaurant, it was such a nostalgic time indeed. WOw. I've only nice things to say.
And soon, I'll be on a dive trip to Perhentian!!! O yeah... finally after revisiting Tioman boundless times, I'm going somewhere new. I remembered what an adventure it was when my dad went there a year back. He told us that he saved a giant groupa from the pufferfish. He saw it lying down on the seabed and thought it was going to die but he then realised that there was a pufferfish stuck in its mouth. The Groupa "accidentally" tried to eat the pufferfish and upon self - defense, the pufferfish puffed up and its poisonous spikes pierced into the mouth of the Groupa. So my dad got really close to the Groupa and used his dive knife to slightly poke the pufferfish and suddenly the pufferfish deflated and it could get out of the mouth. The groupa then got up slowly and then swam away.
Something similar happened to me. Me being the victim. Triggerfish is one of the many dangerous marine animals in the sea and I didn't know what the nature of a triggerfish was like b4 I experienced that incident. well fish are so scared of humans they will sway in the opposite direction if u get near. But not for one particular fish - The triggerfish. I was astounded by its seeming "friendliness" and I wanted to go nearer to it and touch it but my dad signaled to me not to do that so we went paddling on. Then suddenly my dad grabbed me by my tank and I got a shock. The triggerfish apparently was tailing me from behind. HAha. THe trigger was still hovering around us so my dad took out his knife and poked it gently and he went away chasing other fish.
I remember the last time I went to Tioman with wh n his sis, we saw a family of sharks while snorkling around a secluded island. I freaked out a little... and wanted to swim back to the boatbecause there was an exceptionally huge shark 2 long rulers long which started to circle us from below. That was the first time I saw so many sharks together. I started telling the divers onboard what we saw and Shaun wanted to go where we went to find the sharks but he couldnt find any. What an experience. Can't wait for the underwater drama at Perhentian.
