BASEMENT 1
The City Campus rawks. Everything is new... Toilet seats, tables, rotating chairs, doors, proximity gantries, friends... Oh Btw, most of it aint done yet. There's gonna be a 7 -11, TCC, Watsons and retail stores. The gym has no equipment and the swimming pool doesnt have any water yet.
I went for cheer-leading try outs yesterday and trust me, it aint bimbotic. It was so nerve wrecking. (no bimbo speaking here ah...) I was always used as the flyer: the person who is being lifted up dangerously only to dangle at the trust of others. And I'm aching all over right now. It's quite physically demanding and it really makes a great CCA. Can even earn money by performing... the seniors told us it was like 80 bucks per girl for a performance. What's even better is that its an all- girls team so power goes to us. Shall I join the SMU run team? I don't think I can commit to 2 competitive and time consuming CCAs though. And being the flyer aint easy... there is the pressure to be light... and what's more, if I join the run team, I'll gain back all my muscle mass and put back the 5kg I lose after not training. Dilemma!

wow
oh wow. I love my life now. Counting down 3 more duck/hippo days and I'm off to school for this month! Getting on with school life is so darn great. What a great break from exams and mugging btw. I hope I can still remember how to study.
TOday, I went for a career services talk at the city campus. I forgot to bring my SMU card so I tried to enter the gates with my fren but the system detected that 2 ppl got through the gantry and beeped really loudly like a thief alarm. I shall remember NOt to FORGET my smu card ever.
The talk was really interesting. Learnt a lot about the basic social decorum of networking and how to dress professionally and how to impress your interviewer. I can't believe that first impressions occur merely 12 seconds and it is sure important! Glad to be a rising star in SMU.

INEXORABLE
the word "inexorable" has never been so apt until I worked at Insead on the data base system.
Calling names after names of financial directors, financial controllers, accountants from all around the world was so taxing. Eepecially when you sit on your butt the whole time, dialling number after number, your eyes peeling to get to the particulars of the person running in a horizontal manner, ears painful from the phone! I still think 8 bucks an hour is not a good deal at all for all the pain and inexorability. Im now risking a sore throat...going to work on the duck and hippo this coming national day eve and national day. Yieks

bad experience
I shall blog about something unpleasant for a change.
Yesterday, when I was onboard the duck, giving the commentary, someone's daughter accidentally hit her head on the railings and I got blamed " because I didn't warn her". What the hell! I'm not some angel who knows when an accident will happen! Anyway, I've learnt a lesson. WARN people.
