yayyyy
This morning... wh and I woke up really early to go to KK hospital for volunteer work. We put up some handmade decor for the New Year at the Women's ward and Childrens ward wall. It was really fun. I got to meet Wh's good fren also known as his mistress who turned out to be a really sweet, chatty, Raffles girl. We had so much fun decorating, chatting and making fun of our decor. Her bf goes fishing and he caught a 5kg Tuna in the Indian Ocean. How cool! They had really super fresh sashimi to eat man!!! I wish to do that some day. Catch something... and eat it!hAHA. I remember eating a fresh scallop when my family was in Manado scuba diving. It had the taste of the ocean man! So yummie. When I was really little, my parents were in Phuket and they were staying onboard a ship for a period of like 4 days and my dad went night diving and caught some huge lobsters. How cool is that! Everyone onboard, even the strangers who then became my dads frens, ate lobsters the entire time afteward. Some day, we'll get fresh oysters. hAHA. Back to the volunteer work, as we were putting up the decor, we could hear wails of sick babies from the open air, multiple- beds- wards. Hope we brought some new year spirit in that dreary place.

having no holiday this year, my family stayed in Swissotel the Stamford, Singapore's Tallest Hotel for 2 days and a night all because I had a special discounted rate for the room. But it was fun. Went to The Raffles Hotel which was just across the street from it for dinner.( see my flickr photo account to see more fotos which I did not upload on this blog. ) Everything there was classical. Toilets, Lifts, Signage...
Then on Xmas eve, we went to Raffles City to shop some more and I found a nice black skirt from the Mango sale. Everything there was so neat because it was still early at that time. We were one of the first customers there. My mom bought some expensive air-flown nutty chocolates from Prestate which had pretty good customer service because " they let her sample the chocolates, unlike other chocolate shops which leave their customers to salivate...". After checking out of the hotel, we went to havalock road n had some Crab Beehoon n Seafood. My tastebuds didn't particularly like the food coz I ate something sour and everything I tasted afterward was sour. Then, I had a dinner feast at Wh's home. Everything there except the turkey. hEhe! I loved the salad his aunt made.
On Xmas day, we went to church and exchanged some pressies with my frens afterwhich we went to Auntie mag's house for Xmas lunch. It's culture to go to her house on Xmas day. She offered us Spaggetti, turkey, chicken, finger food, cheese, cherries, grapes, cakes, CNY goodies (hAHAHA) and we watched TV the entire time apart from chatting and playing with the two juxtaposed dogs. Brownie the toy dog and Tiger the Jack Russel. Tiger was bullying Brownie the entire time and Brownie yelped helplessly when Tiger went chasing him all over the house. I carried Brownie to save him from the clutches of Tiger and Brownie just looked at Tiger from my arms, his heart beating ever so quickly. It was hilarious. Anyway, I wanted to put Brownie back down and he wouldnt leave my arms. But finally he did only to pee on a home plant and Kenny had to clean it up.
The drama came the morning after though. My dad was puking and going in and out of the loo the whole night and he was the first victim. I only suffered diarrhoea thank God and an extremely bloated stomach. My sis then followed my dads footsteps and vomited everything she ate and drank. We didn't eat breakfast and lunch that day. Hope I lost some weight putting up with the food poisoning.

wow
oh Wow. What a day!!!! Had a jolly good time with aileen and john at my house. Staying at home has never been so fun man! We lived as sinners today. Haha. And no we didn't have an orgy. But what we had was more than orgasmic. Spagetti with bacon n olive oil, grilled brown mushrooms topped with tonnes of cheese which nearly toppled off coz the cheese was precariously sitting on the mushrooms, grilled honey chicken, chocolate fondue with marshmellows, apples, strawberries, grapes, pineapple, smoked chopped hazel nuts accompanied with American Pie Band Camp. Gosh. I can feel my body getting outa shape as I type this man. Fingers getting plumper by the minute.Ha. What a gross image. Had lotsa fun! After lunch and a while of conversing, we had dinner takeaway from nearby - Curry Fish Head, Hor Fun, Mee Goreng. And John is going to try making Cheese Cake from the recipe I gave him. Hope it turns out great unlike the one I made last time which broke into 3 pieces like the iceberg from Titanic and sank pathetically when I removed it form the spring form. A Big Thank You to you guys and WH too for being the chefs and the driver respectively! I love ya all.

yay
what a fantastic day out with the girls. We had lunch at Spagettis at Paragon and ordered pretty healthy stuff not considering the complimentary cheese cake, I must say!!! Chicken and pasta salad and Chicken Masala Spagetti. The good company made up for the bad service there, thank God! The waitresses couldn't even speak proper English and they werent even trained to hold the trays properly. And we walked in on our own and aileen was saying if we walked out after eating, nobody would even notice. Haha! Witnessed a waitress toppling the cheese cakes on the table coz she couldnt balance it while removing something from the table. I guess the employee turnover rate there is high and now being the Xmas season, they are so busy with sales they don't even bother to train their staff. Well, we talked about everything under the sun during lunch, from Tony Romas to escargots to SRC's buffet to aphrodasiacs like Tigers' penises to of coz shopping! AHHa.I'll just call it Girl Talk.
Well the rest of the day went on much better when we went to shop. No wonder its called Retail Therapy. Met Nick Beh on the way to Centrept in his blue santa costume giving out free Nivea products. He had red and green braces on and he looked so much better now! He is the epitome of the advantages of army. Extreme makeover man! We explored the Mango-Arh-so-hot- Sale. We were all sweating coz they turned off the air-conditioner (to prevent theft and reduce operation cost I suppose). Aileen and I were so sickened by the way they had to tie the bags to prevent theft. The bags looked like garbage about to be thrown into the chute so Aileen yanked the security fastener off the bag for us with ease.
Our next pitstop was at taka to try the media-raving Fondant Chocolat at the Beard Papa.Yeeling felt guilty eating it coz shes on a diet for some army ball. Then, Wh met up with us (finally, yesterday was his last day of sch) and we went to look for shoes at Wisma. By this time, town was getting packed and Yeeling had to go home to run. The guilt getting to her. So Wh and I brought Aileen to Food Republic to look see. It was only 5 plus but the Hokkien Mee stall had such a long queue it jammed up the rest of the pavement to the other stalls beyond. Anyway we left and I went to the toilet and managed to see Cheryl coz she spotted wh and called me on my fone. What a fun day!!!
We're planning for a gathering at my home soon yet again. Gatherings at my house is morphing into culture but this time at least we're doing something different. Last time we watched white chicks and had a healthy feast. Pam made some really good beef salad then. This year, we're gonna include swimming on our agenda and John's gonna be the chef. It's time to take out the fondue set which has been sitting on the shelf.

Somehow I know I'm gonna get back to running. I cant run away from it. The nostalgia in the air is too overwhelming for me to escape the running spirit.
