happy new year!
this year's earnings have been rather fruitful thanks to Wh's family. I beat my sister in ang pow earnings this year. haha.
Assets increasing... now I dont have to worry about having to scrimp and save.
I'm putting on weight so I decided to go to Botanics with family tmr for a morning run.
Food is irresistable. Pamela is right. Perhaps being sick during CNY is a good thing afterall. That poor girl is sick with the whole package of sick virus. cough, green phlegm, fever, flu etc. Think she must have been over-training. I went to the gym the other day and sorta overdid the weights and the next day I fell sick. So now I know that my body resistence falls when I over-do my workouts. Better take it easy after a long hiatus.

i'm still sick... can u believe it???
last week I went for HC campfire... happening as always. Here are some pictures...I had my hair dyed black and hidden underneath are some bright red streaks for my Toni and Guy demonstration again. Also for LTB, my group did a brilliant job of creating some creative structure made of only straw and staples to hold 11 toy cars and an egg... ill upload the photos as soon as I get them...

getting ready for school...what dread! God please help my group progress in our LTB project... the needy organisations suddenly seem so unneedy when it comes to other things other than money donations. haha. I shall say no more for the fear of getting sued for being a loose cannon. I've got a bacterial infection in my lungs man...a Flu attack! Must be the weather... had to sit in for stats class with the bottom quarter of my jeans wet the other day. Never wear jeans on a wet day. But my mom thinks that I've been having too much junk food in my system just coz I had a small piece of chocolate cake the day b4 i fell sick. Only God can explain...

New year
I spent New years eve's eve at Raffles the Plaza and hit the gym over there which was massive!!!My mom saw a naked woman in the spa so we didn't wanna go in there with her. Just one night's stay but it was a nice stay coz the room was really cosy and I got to watch discovery channel. Watched a porgram on mummy's autopsy, investigations on centuries-old corpses. They dug out a woman and her baby from this gold-ladden eygptian tomb who was burried which lotsa ancient gold jewellery. She happened to be a 20 year old queen who had lived a privileged life n had a baby and both died at the same time. They also did another autopsy on a 300 year old corpse of asian origins found at a desert in the West. He was hastily burried in the sand and what it seemed was that in the olden days, there was an outbreak of small pox or something and all the traders who showed signs of sickness were brought there to that island and were left there to die. Apparently, the corpse was a Chinese trader and he had acquired TB from that island and had died from it. He was seeking for a better life and never got there just because he got quarantined on that island. Poor guy!!! I think he was just put there coz he was a Chinese. Racism probably started at that time already.
Then on new years eve, we went to mount ophir to climb mountain and spend the night. When we had reached the resort, we decided to take a hike up the mountain but we stopped when it was becoming too steep and muddy to climb. Thank God I didn't roll down the mountain. It was like Macritchie with a waterfall. Then at night time, a fireworks display was organised by the boss there who was my dads fren and it was soooo close by I thought we'd all get hurt. There was also fire crackers and dancing and a live band at the resort. Someone was dancing like he was being electrocuted and mom said he had ants in his pants... it was hilarious.
We went to scour a nearby pasar malam before the count down party and saw gigantic paos the size of a pomelo, huge sticks of satay, fried whole chicken with the head still on, raw meat, crab and fish being sold there. Everything was being sold there and it was sooo interesting. My parents said it was like Singapore 40 years ago. We had really good food there coz the boss brought us around to taste some of the best food in town. That night, we ate at a noisy Chinese restaurant that night and had wild boar meat, braised sea cucumber, sweet potato leaves, steamed fish, fried toufu.
The following morning, we woke up early to go for a tour round the oil palm plantation, fruit plantation, mini zoo, and had a fruit buffet there after. The healthiest buffet. For lunch we went to eat beef noodles at a famous stall and it was fantastic. We had authentic chendol at a small street stall filled with coconut milk and gula melaca. I miss the food there already. Then b4 driving thru the causeway we dropped by City Square for dinner and some shopping at FOS. I cant believe I'm going back to school tmr.
